Lassie the Film

Amazing True Tail(s) Of The Dog.

I truly could not believe what I was seeing from The Dog that day. It had not even been five minutes since we had stepped outdoors. The Woman was talking with The Man. The Dog was doing his business as usual. Two steps, a leg lift and he goes. Another two steps, the leg lift and going again! Can you imagine? I could never muster the unmatched courage of The Dog. Being very fond of The Man, The Dog immediately stood stiff watching as The Man departed toward the courtyard gate.

Instantly, I was filled with the scent of his oncoming unthinkable act. The Man had opened the large steel gate door and walked out. A long screech rang out as the gate slowly began to shut. Like a bullet The Dog darted towards the quickly closing opportunity. As he gained speed the gate’s gravity seemed to predict his failure, but NO! He did it! I even heard his unexpected squeal as the tip of his tail squeezed through the closing gate as he passed. Being much smaller and nowhere near as hasty, I daintily made my way through the bars of the gate with The Woman freakishly screamingly and sprinting in the same direction. There we stood staring at The Dog as he chased The Man who already had made his way across the busy street. Green light. I did not dare watch. SCREECH! RARF! BEEP!

Could it be!? I could not bare to look at first so I peered up at The Woman. There she was with her hand over her mouth. I could not yet detect relief or upset so I adjusted my vision and there he was. The Dog had caught up with The Man, licking his face clean and I sat in awe.

The Cat.
